Today was the first day of Railfest. We were able to go on a bus tour (that was suppose to be 1hr long and ended up 2 1/2 hours long). For how long it was the kids did really well. We were able to see 6 of the heritage engines and take a tour of where Wes works. This is the only time during the year that the public can go see all of it. Normally you can you in only walk in a small path and only look at a few parts of his work. The kids loved looking at everything, but Braxton loved it the most. He has always loved trains and this brought his fascination to life. Katie was really excited because there is an engine named "The Katy," she didn't understand why they spelt her name wrong but knew this train was here just for her. After the bus tour we went and rode the mini train. I told Wes that I really want one of these, it was so much fun and fun to see the look on my kids face. After we got off the train they had a little booth with train hats. Braxton still had money left over for his birthday so he bought 3 hats, 2 suckers and 1 fan (thanks again Grandma Myra, and he still has money left over). As I said this is day one of the railfest, we are going back tomorrow for Employee day. Hopefully more pictures tomorrow.
