Another great day together

On Wes' days off we always try and do something fun. Today the kids really wanted to go to the lake and Braxton had early release from school. The weather was perfect; 102, sunny, and a slight breeze. The water was perfect and we found a spot with sand, a picnic table and some trees for shade, and even better there wasn't anyone else there. Another day spent together.

3 best friends spending time together.

Finally Results

Well, we finally got the resutls on Braxton and the reseaon for his high fever (104.5) and extreme fatigue. It ook about 2.5 weeks to get the results becuase they lost it and had to start over. They finally found out that he has Epstein Barr Virus, which is a form of mono. He seems like he is feeling better but still very tired. The Dr. said that because he had it so bad and for so long, it could take his body a good 6-12 months to recover. Then, even after that time period it could become active anytime later in his life. I continue to ask myself why do my children get the weird stuff, mine can't just get strep throat, a cold or the flu, nope always something weird and something I can learn a little more about. Another bad thing about this virus is it is very contagious and my kids LOVE to share. Marshall has started running a fever, but I am just blaming it on his bottom molars he is getting and pushing lots of fluid. Just glad that now we have answers and try and keep Braxton rested.

Adorable 16 month old pictures

16 Months Old
I can't believe it my little boy is already 16 months old. In these pictures they make him look like a little toddler and not a little baby anymore. As most of you know we just moved to Nebraska away from all of our family and all of Marshall's comfortable surroundings. About 5 months before me moved to NE, the 3 kids and I moved in with my parents. Wes had to be in NE in February and we didn't have a place to move to yet and still had a place in Blackfoot. Yes I could have stayed in Blackfoot, but I am a big chicken and don't like the dark and being alone. I know kind of funny, but it is true. So, we packed all of our belongings and moved to Idaho Falls. My kids became very attached to my parents, especially Marshall. He loved his mama and papa. Since we have been in NE Marshall has been a different child. He hasn't been unhappy but it did take him quite awhile to figure out we were here to stay. In fact we are able to have skype and talk to Grandma alot. Marshall talked to her about 2 weeks after we got here (it takes that long to get internet set up here), he saw my mom on the screen and started to reach for her and got so excited. After that things didn't go well, he sobbed forever and then had a really bad night sleeping.
Our little Marshall is still kind of a runt, he looks heavier than he weights. He is still only 20 lbs and I don't remember how tall he is but not very tall. Those little cheeks are deceiving. He is a climber, I have never had one before and I am very thankful not to. He is so hard to keep up with. He can now climb into his own high chair when he wants to eat, he was on the 2nd shelf in fridge the other day and still climbing higher before I stopped him, I usually take him off the kitchen table at least 10 times a day, and he does much more. Keeps all of us running.
Wes and I decided to go and take some pictures for his 16 month old. He was so funny and loves to say cheese and pose in his own spot. Marshall we love you and have so much fun with you.

Gymnastics

I finally did it, I finally talked Katie into doing something. I have tried for probably 2 years to get her into dance. She absolutely refused. After she refused many times I tried to put her into anything...baseball, basketball, tumbling, piano and everything more I could think of. When we moved to Nebraska there was a gymnastics place right across from us (which now moved across town a whole 5 mintues away since our town is so large). I showed her pictures online and took her to the place and she fell in love. We signed her up 10 days ago and it has a been a non-stop asking "when is Thursday, when do I get to start". Today was the day and she met some friends and even wants to go back. She was so cute all dressed in her little outfit with her hair all done up. It was so funny we were getting ready to go out the door and Wes said "what is that" and he was pointing at Katie, then he said "she cannot go like that she will be out of the ordinary all girls will go in shorts and a t-shirt0". Against his judgement and he has never been a girl, Katie and I continued out the door. When we got there other girls were dressed in similar outfits, only she was the cutest one there. Here are some pictures to prove it.

Not an announcement

In my spare time while my dear children are sleeping and my sweet husband is working I crochet. I love to crochet, especially for sweet little children and babies. My kick lately is making dresses for newborn babies. While mowings lawn I started this dress and then finished here in NE. I know crazy that I crocheted a white dress while driving around mowing a million lawns. As I was posting this I am sure many of you will ask "Is she pregnant," nope just something to do and thought it turned out just right so I wanted to post a picture.

Derby in Maxwell

They were so excited they caught a grasshopper, they tried to go for the frog but I wouldn't let them especially cause the first 2 kids fell into the swampy mud.

mmm....chocolate. and we forgot the wetwipes.

Every year we try and take Braxton to a derby as a request for his birthday. This year we were in Nebrask and most of the derbies are over for the year except for a small one in Maxwell, NE. Nothing like saying this area is a little small and white trash they dug up behind the football field and turned it into a mud place then put up cement barriers and we sat on the grass. The kids loved every minute of it. We were able to sit really close and they wandered around the grass and mud. They really wanted to go into the mud and catch a frog, but I put a stop to that. So, they settled on a grasshopper. They kept showing it to Marshall and putting it next to him and he would laugh so hard. Katie also loved it this year because her Daddy loves her and borrowed a pair or ear muffs from his shop. You couldn't hear a thing with those things on, this is the first year that she has loved it. We tried these on Marshall and he thought they were the best thing ever and just kept laughing. I have the best kids ever, they are so much fun to be around.
